Reminder: Important information regarding your payment on advance

Further to our previous emails and reminders, the changes to the Payment on Advance process will go live this week.

Announcement email sent out previously!

We’re proud to say that our Payment on Advance facility remains one of the biggest and most valued USPs of L&G Mortgage Club and we’re continuing to invest in making it even better for you.

Over the past year, we’ve focused on reducing unnecessary reclaims by supporting brokers through the claiming journey. We’ve made key improvements to the claim form, including:

  • Asking for completion dates and case types to help guide accurate submissions
  • Introducing the ability to save cases to draft, so you can prepare claims and submit them at the right time.

These changes are already helping brokers claim with more confidence and less admin.

What’s Coming Next?

From April onwards, we’ll be introducing intuitive system checks that recognise whether a claim is being submitted at the correct point in the mortgage journey. If a claim appears to be too early from completion, you’ll be able to save it to draft, and we’ll notify you the next time you log in that it’s ready to be claimed.

This means fewer reclaims, smoother processing, and even more confidence in your cashflow planning.

Updated Claim Timeframes:

To align with average completion timelines, we’re allowing claims up to:

6 months in advance of completion for Remortgages

4 months in advance for Product Transfers and Further Advances

3 months in advance for Purchases (on exchange of contracts)

10 months in advance for New Build Purchases (on exchange of contracts)

How could this affect you?

We know how much advisers rely on Payment On Advance to manage payments and cashflow, and we’re committed to keeping it at the heart of our proposition. These enhancements are all about making the process easier, smarter, and more supportive, so you can focus on what you do best.

Action required by you

If you’ve been claiming at a different stage of the mortgage journey than outlined above, you may need to take action. There is a chance this could affect your cashflow in the short term.

It is vital that you begin aligning your claims with the new guidance as soon as possible to avoid disruption to your cashflow. If you’re unsure whether you’ve been claiming at the correct stage of the mortgage journey and would like support aligning with the appropriate timeframes, please don’t hesitate to contact us on mortgageclub.advisersupport@landg.com.
