We’ve made a number of enhancements across our bridging proposition, opening up more ways to support a wider range of scenarios.
Updated refurbishment classifications
We’ve updated our refurbishment classifications, giving you greater flexibility when placing bridging cases.
| Standard bridging | Light refurbishment | Heavy refurbishment |
| Repair, maintenance and cosmetic works are now permitted. | A wider range of works can now be considered, including some previously classed as heavy refurbishment. Qualifying projects requiring planning permission can also be considered. | Projects involving material transformation or alteration will be classed as heavy refurbishment, with all necessary planning permissions and consents required before lending. |
Further bridging enhancements
Beyond refurbishment, we’ve also made a few more changes to give you greater flexibility.
| Holiday lets | Maximum term | Selected rate reductions |
| Holiday lets can now be considered across both regulated and non-regulated bridging. | The maximum term for non-regulated bridging has increased from 18 to 24 months. | We’ve reduced selected non-regulated light refurbishment rates. |
